Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg

Shift Notes

This position requires 12-hour night shifts with a total of 36 hours per week. It is important to note that this is a float position, and experience in Emergency Department (ED) and Critical Care Unit (CCU) is mandatory.

Weekend and Holiday Requirements

• Every other weekend is required.
• Holidays may be required based on facility needs.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide comprehensive care in a Medical-Surgical setting, floating to different units as needed, including the ED and CCU. Candidates must demonstrate strong clinical skills and the ability to adapt to varying environments and patient needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of current Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department or Critical Care Unit.
• Telemetry experience is required.
• Willingness to float between units is essential.
• Completion of a Basic Dysrhythmia course is strongly required.
• Experience with Meditech Expanse is highly preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and NRP certifications must be valid and uploaded with the application.
• All candidates must have their own vehicle for transportation to work.

Profile Requirements

• Work history that demonstrates relevant experience.
• A skills checklist pertinent to Medical-Surgical nursing, current within one year.
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment.
• Valid Massachusetts RN license.
• Active American Heart Association or American Red Cross certifications for BLS and ACLS.
• Current National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Completion of Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.

Additional Information
