Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our rehabilitation team. This position is crucial for the care and recovery of patients as they regain independence following an injury or illness.

Unit Profile

• Department: Rehab IRF Nursing
• Number of Openings: 1
• Shift: Nights (7 PM – 7 AM)
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
• Call Requirements: None
• Required Certifications: BLS
• Required Experience: Minimum of 1 year in rehab nursing
• Patient Ratios: 6 patients per RN

Patient Population

Our facility serves a diverse patient population, including individuals 15 years and older, with various rehabilitation needs, such as:

• Stroke
• Brain injury
• Neurological conditions
• Trauma
• Spinal cord injury
• Amputation
• Orthopedic injury

Key Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate and personalized nursing care to rehabilitation patients.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care strategies as needed.
• Educate patients and their families about rehabilitation processes and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation using electronic health record systems.

Qualifications

• Must Have Skills/Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in rehabilitation nursing.
• Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Experience with patients recovering from stroke, motor vehicle accidents, and general debility.
• Personality Fit: Seeking individuals who are adaptable, empathetic, and committed to patient-centered care.
