Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position is essential for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting. With an urgent need for staffing, candidates can start with compliance items pending.

Shift Details

• Schedule: 3×12 hours (Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Rotating options: 36/48 hours may be available
• Minimum of 8 weekend shifts per contract required
• Holidays as needed
• Float required as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the emergency department, encompassing both adult and pediatric populations.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and blood products as needed.
• Perform central line care/management and phlebotomy.
• Initiate IV access and manage IV sedation and vasopressors.
• Conduct procedural sedation and manage ventilated patients.
• Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and assist in triage activities.
• Maintain a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department setting required.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, and PALS.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records system preferred.
