Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment, working night shifts and participating in weekend and holiday rotations as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide care in a General Emergency Department for both adult and pediatric patients.
• Administer blood products and manage central lines.
• Perform phlebotomy and start IVs, including Continuous IV sedation and IV vasopressors.
• Administer procedural sedation and interpret ABGs for ventilated patients.
• Triage patients effectively and efficiently.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Float to other areas as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an emergency department setting.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, NIH, and PALS.
• Proficient in the use of EPIC electronic health records.
• Strong clinical skills in blood product administration, IV management, and sedation techniques.
• Experience managing a patient ratio of 1:5.

Schedule

This position requires a commitment to night shifts, consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Weekend work and holiday shifts will be required, with a minimum of eight shifts per contract.
