Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN)

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Department Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency nursing with at least two years of experience.

Position Details

• Start Date: October 26
• Shift: Night shift, 3×12 hours (19:00 – 07:30)
• Guaranteed Hours: Candidates may be called off during low census periods without charge for up to 1 shift in a 2-week cycle.
• Floating: Required within the hospital; no floating to sister hospitals.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of general Emergency Department experience.
• Certifications Required:
  • ACLS
  • BCLS
  • PALS
  • TNCC
  • CEN (preferred)
• Call Requirement: None
• Weekend Requirement: Yes, unless noted otherwise in the schedule.
• References: Exceptional evaluations from Manager or Director level references required.
• Local Candidates: Accepted
• Pending Licenses: Not accepted

Special Notes

The Emergency Department handles a diverse range of high acuity patients, including those with oncology, cardiology, and transplant histories, as well as a small pediatric population and various psych/behavioral health cases. Additional complexities may arise with medical patients, including transplant and VAD (ventricular assist device) patients. The department consists of 27 rooms with options for hallway beds and a dedicated vertical care area.
