Registered Nurse (RN) – MS/Tele

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for the Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit focusing on Acute Care for the Elderly (ACE). The ideal candidate will have experience in providing telemetry-capable care and be committed to enhancing the well-being of hospitalized patients aged 65 and older.

Scheduling Details

• Shift Hours: Night shifts, 3×12 hours (19:00 – 07:30)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Call Off Policy: Facility may call off one shift every two weeks.
• First-Time Travelers: Accepted
• Locals Accepted: Yes, subject to radius rule
• Pending License: Not accepted; active SC or multistate license required

Charting

• 1 year of EPIC experience required

Required Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Required Clinical Skills

• Experience in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing
• IV starts and blood product administration
• Central, peripheral, and PICC line management
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Remote telemetry monitoring
• Knowledge of heparin protocols and telemetry-capable care
• Proficient in geriatric-focused care

Unit Details

• Staffing Ratios: 1:5 patient to nurse
• Unit Size: 26 beds
• Patient Population: Hospitalized patients aged 65 and older
• Focus: Preserving cognitive and physical function to aid recovery and reduce length of stay

Floating Policy

Agency staff may be required to float to other units as needed, limited to areas where staff have documented competencies.
