Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) to join our team. This role requires a compassionate professional who is capable of providing high-quality care to adult women of childbearing age.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the labor and delivery unit.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in status.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Assist with childbirth and provide postpartum care for mothers and newborns.
• Maintain accurate patient records and report on patient progress.

Shift Details

• Shift: Nights, either 3×12 or 4×12 hours acceptable.
• Weekend availability is required unless specified otherwise in the schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in labor and delivery nursing.
• First-time travelers are accepted only if they possess 3+ years of L&D experience.
• Required certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program).
• AWHONN Intermediate certification is preferred.
• Epic experience is required for this position.

Additional Information

• Unit comprises 7 labor beds, 3 triage beds, 2 PACU beds, and 16 mother-baby rooms.
• Floating within the hospital is required; however, floating to sister hospitals is not applicable.
• No block scheduling accommodations are available unless indicated otherwise in the job posting.
• Local candidates are accepted; pending licenses are not accepted.
• One week of RTO (Requested Time Off) is allowed, but candidates must be available to work during the holidays.
