Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment while adhering to established protocols and standards. This position requires the ability to work effectively under pressure and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the emergency department.
• Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment options and care plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.

Schedule and Work Requirements

• Shift Options: Day 4×12-Hour (07:00 – 19:00) or Night 4×12-Hour (19:00 – 07:00)
• Weekend work is typically required every other weekend.
• Position does not require floating between units.
• 48-hour work weeks are approved.

Patient Care Ratios

The expected nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 RN to 4 patients.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Previous experience in an emergency department preferred.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
