Sterile Processing Tech (SPT)

Monday to Friday: 3 PM – 11:30 PM

Job Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination of all items including drills, Davinci systems, and scopes.
• Assemble all instruments across various service lines, including trauma and loaner equipment, with peel packaging.
• Oversee the sterilization process utilizing both Sterrad and steam methods.
• Manage high-level disinfection (HLD) and scope processing.
• Ensure proper sterile storage practices are followed.
• Act as a liaison for operating room (OR) communication and needs.
• Utilize Censitrac tracking system for instrument management.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Medivator equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience in all areas of sterile processing.
• Certification from CBSPD or CRCST (through HSPA, formerly IAHCSMM) is required.
• Experience working in a high-volume, Level One trauma facility is preferred.
• Candidates must self-assess their Medivator experience on a scale from 1 to 4.

Parking Options

• WMC: 24/7 access to the parking garage with a monthly permit.
• WB: Annual permit available for weekend and holiday access.
• CXS: Annual permit for 24/7 access with additional limitations on specific garages.
