Night shift, Monday to Friday from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Job Description

This position requires a skilled and experienced Sterile Processing Technician to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate must be proficient in various areas of sterile processing and demonstrate a commitment to quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Decontamination of all items, including drills, robotic surgical systems, and scopes.
• Assembly of instruments across all service lines, including trauma and loaner instruments, with peel packaging.
• Execution of sterilization processes using both STERRAD and steam methods.
• Experience with high-level disinfection (HLD) and scope management.
• Overseeing sterile storage practices to ensure compliance and safety.
• Acting as a liaison between the sterile processing department and operating room staff.
• Utilizing the Censitrac tracking system for instrument management.
• Demonstrating experience with Medivators systems.

Qualifications

• Must possess either CBSPD or CRCST certification through HSPA (formerly IAHCSMM).
• Previous experience in a comparable high-volume healthcare facility is required.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Parking Information

Parking permits are available, which include:

• Monthly access to Wexner Medical Center Garage.
• Annual permits for weekend and holiday access to specific garage locations.

Refunds may be available for unused future months on annual permits; however, current and prior months are not refundable.

Eligibility Restrictions

• Previous permanent staff and return travelers are not eligible to apply.
• Travelers who have reached the one-year maximum contract limit are not eligible for extensions or future assignments.
