MRI Technologist

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in conducting MRI procedures and be proficient in the necessary technologies and protocols necessary to deliver high-quality results.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI scans on patients following established protocols.
• Prepare and position patients for scans, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Administer contrast media as required, adhering to safety protocols.
• Operate MRI equipment and assist in the post-processing of images.
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver optimal patient care.
• Educate patients regarding procedures and answer any questions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist preferred; first-timers are accepted.
• Active ARRT-R and BLS certifications required.
• Experience in adult acute care, adult ICU, outpatient, and ER/Trauma settings.
• Proficiency with MRI procedures related to abdomen, pelvis, chest, head, neck, musculoskeletal, and spine.
• Familiarity with PACS and Siemens MRI equipment highly preferred.
• Understanding of isolation precautions and radiation safety.
• Ability to start peripheral IVs when necessary.
• Knowledge of advanced MRI imaging techniques, including diffusion imaging and multiplanar reconstruction.

Scheduling Requirements

• Available shifts will include every Friday and Saturday working overnight hours from 19:00 to 07:30.
• Requests for scheduling accommodations can be discussed with the manager.
• RTO restrictions ideally limit to no more than 5 days.

Additional Information

• No on-call duties or floating required within the facility.
• Guaranteed hours are subject to potential cancellations as outlined.
• Parking options available for both night and day/evening shifts with varying costs.
