Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Position Overview

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist plays a critical role in the healthcare field by performing specialized imaging procedures that assist in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions. This position offers a structured schedule with no weekends or holidays, allowing for a balanced work-life environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct cardiac imaging and general nuclear medicine studies.
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals under established protocols.
• Ensure accurate imaging procedures are followed and that patients are comfortable and informed throughout the process.
• Maintain and operate nuclear medicine equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Document and communicate findings as necessary, collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.

Qualifications

• Required Licensure and Certifications: Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT), Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in nuclear medicine, with proficiency in cardiac imaging and general nuclear medicine studies.
• Skills: Strong technical abilities in nuclear medicine procedures and imaging technology.
• Epic Experience: Must have recent experience with Epic systems within the last 18 months.

Additional Information

Interviews will be conducted for selected candidates. It is beneficial to provide availability for interviews upon application submission. Candidates should be aware that if they do not pass the Epic test-out onsite, additional training hours will be required without compensation.
