Pediatric Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ED RN)

Position Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Pediatric Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join a busy emergency department. The unit features over 50 beds, including 4 trauma rooms, and requires highly skilled professionals who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care in the pediatric emergency department.
• Assist with the management of trauma and urgent care cases.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Float to sister locations within a 12-mile radius as needed.
• Handle patient charting utilizing EPIC software.

Work Schedule

The position requires a commitment to work 3 shifts of 12 hours each, from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM. Weekend shifts are also necessary, and there will be an expectation to work on some holidays. Minimal to no requests for time off (RTO) can be accommodated.

Qualifications

• Current certifications in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) are required.
• A minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an emergency department, specifically in pediatric care, is required.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record (EHR) system is necessary.
