Medical Assistant

Overview

This position is available for local and non-local candidates. The Medical Assistant will work in a fast-paced Otolaryngology clinic with a schedule of five 8-hour shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. There are no weekend or holiday shifts required.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and prepare them for examination.
• Assist the healthcare provider during examinations and procedures.
• Perform high-level disinfecting and autoclaving as part of clinic protocols.
• Document patient information in the electronic health record system (EPIC).
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment within the clinic.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in an Adult Outpatient or ENT setting.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant (MA-C) is preferred; MA-R will be considered based on candidate availability.
• Ability to float between Otolaryngology clinics may be required.
• Open to first-time candidates.

Additional Information

Scrub color is flexible, and training will be provided for specific clinic protocols. This role requires a proactive approach and adaptability to a dynamic clinic environment.
