Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room

Job Summary: A Registered Nurse is needed for a dynamic emergency department that serves adult patients. The unit sees high patient volume with a diverse range of critical conditions including STEMI, stroke, and level 2 trauma patients. The role requires significant nursing skills and certifications to ensure patient care excellence.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience
• IV start, triage, telemetry, and conscious sedation skills
• Certifications:
• TNCC
• ACLS
• NIHSS
• MOAB
• BLS
• PALS
• ENPC preferred
• Trauma experience preferred

Job Details:

• Patient Ratios:
  • Non-Critical: 3:1 (4:1 with hallway when callouts occur)
  • Critical Patients: 2:1
  • Medical Boarders in ED: 5:1
• Shift: 12-hour mids (11:00 AM – 11:00 PM)
• Contract Length: 48-hour contracts accepted; 13-week contracts are also available
• Call Requirement: No call required
• Float Requirement: No float required
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required
• Patient Volume: Approximately 170 visits per day in a 53-room ED

Orientation & Additional Information:

• Orientation: 36 or 48 hours
• Scrubs: Not provided; navy blue scrubs required

  • No block scheduling available
