Med Surg Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Med Surg Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a Med Surg unit with a focus on diverse patient diagnoses.
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Float to the Emergency Department as needed, and assume charge nurse responsibilities when required.
• Monitor and titrate drips, as well as manage critical care equipment including ventilators and CPAPs.
• Read telemetry strips as part of patient monitoring.

Shift Details

• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shifts Available: Day and night shifts (7a-7p and 7p-7a)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday

Qualifications

• Required Certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), TNCC.
• Minimum of 2 years of Med Surg or related experience, with an emphasis on ED experience preferred.
• Charge experience is required.
• Ability to meet the 50-mile radius rule.
• No prior permanent or PRN employment at the location within the last 12 months.

• Flexibility in scheduling may be required.
