Registered Nurse (RN) – MS/Telemetry

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Med-Surg/Telemetry to join our team. This role encompasses the provision of high-quality patient care within a dynamic healthcare environment.

Schedule

• Start Date: ASAP
• Orientation: Mondays
• Shift: 3×12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Weekends and holidays are required
• No call or block scheduling requests will be accommodated

Patient Care Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for the care of patients in a 42-bed Med-Surg Telemetry unit, including but not limited to:

• Caring for various patient populations including cardiac, diabetes, CHF, COPD, renal, general surgery, orthopedics, and more.
• Maintaining appropriate patient ratios of 1:6.
• Assisting in floating to like acuities or lower acuities as needed.
• Providing care for IMCU patients based on census.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of MS/Telemetry experience is required.
• Current NC or compact nursing license in hand at the time of submission. License hits cannot be accepted.
• Certifications: CPI, ACLS, and BLS are mandatory.
• Meditech experience preferred.
• Proficiency with insulin, heparin, and Lasix drips is essential.

Team Structure

The nursing team consists of RNs, LPNs, PCTs, CNAs/US, and unit secretaries collaborating to provide exceptional patient care.
