Mammography Technologist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess proficiency in performing various mammography studies and assisting radiologists with stereotactic biopsies. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and adherence to safety protocols.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform tomosynthesis mammography studies
• Assist radiologists during stereotactic biopsy procedures
• Ensure compliance with established protocols and guidelines
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging reports

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Mammography Technologist
• Success in performing at least 200 mammograms within the last 2 years
• Current certifications: BLS Certification and ARRT (M) Verification
• Must possess CRT in Mammography (California)
• Familiarity with Merge PACS and Cerner EMR systems is required
• Travel experience is preferred

Schedule

This position requires availability for day shifts, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Weekend on-call shifts may apply with floating responsibilities assigned as needed.

Work Environment

The Mammography Technologist will work in a telecommunication and imaging unit, interacting primarily with patients and healthcare professionals. Scrubs in teal color will be mandatory for the role.

Average Case Load

The technologist can expect to handle an average of 15 cases per day.
