Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. The RN will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment while working collaboratively with physicians, mid-level providers, and support staff.

Shift Details

• Night Shift: 7 PM – 7 AM
• Scheduled every other weekend
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week

Unit Information

• Emergency Room with 24 beds and 3 trauma bays
• Average patient volume: 80-90 patients per day
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1 to 4
• Fast track available for patients
• In-house security present

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department (ED)
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, TNCC, and either ENPC or PALS

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide emergency care for patients with various conditions, including trauma, stroke, sepsis, congestive heart failure (CHF), and cardiac issues.
• Perform triage and manage patient care from admission through discharge.
• Collaborate with emergency department physicians and mid-level providers for patient treatment plans.
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) for documentation and care coordination.
• Participate in unit-specific orientation and training to enhance skills and knowledge.

Additional Information

• Shifts are self-scheduled, with options for various start times.
• Weekend and holiday work is required every other time.
• Navy-colored scrub attire is the dress code.
• Floating to qualified units may be required.
