Medical Imaging Technologist

Role Overview

The Medical Imaging Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols and safety standards. This position plays a critical role in patient care through the accurate capture and analysis of diagnostic images.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct imaging examinations utilizing appropriate techniques to ensure high-quality diagnostic results.
• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures to ensure optimal results and patient comfort.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and effectively while adhering to radiation safety and quality control protocols.
• Document and maintain accurate patient records and imaging studies.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss and review imaging findings.
• Assist in educating patients about procedures and answering any questions they may have.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited program in Medical Imaging or related field.
• Current certification from ARDMS is preferred.
• BLS certification is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in the use of imaging equipment and software.

Working Conditions

The Medical Imaging Technologist will work in a clinical setting with the potential for exposure to infectious diseases and radiation. Adherence to safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment is essential.

Schedule
