Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The primary focus of this role will be on medical-surgical care, with a telehealth capacity as part of the job requirements. Nurses will be expected to collaborate effectively within a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care on a medical-surgical unit.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments including blood products, insulin, heparin, and PCA.
• Manage peripheral line care and start IVs as needed.
• Utilize Rapid Response teams to ensure patient safety and timely medical intervention.
• Implement and maintain isolation precautions to prevent the spread of infections.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care outcomes.
• Participate in charge nurse duties as required.
• Facilitate patient education and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Experience with electronic health records, specifically EPIC, is mandatory.
• Willingness to work variable shifts, including night shifts (3x12s).
• Ability to float across various departments as needed.
• 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio to ensure comprehensive care.
• Successful completion of an EKG exam during onboarding process.
