CT Technologist

The CT Technologist is a skilled professional responsible for providing timely diagnostic imaging services to both inpatients and outpatients under the supervision of a Radiologist and in accordance with departmental protocols. This role requires a strong foundation in radiologic technology, along with specialized expertise in computed tomography (CT) scanning procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform basic radiographic procedures, including fluoroscopy and portable imaging.
• Execute routine diagnostic CT scanning procedures, including but not limited to CT of the head/brain, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen/pelvis, extremities, and biopsy/drainage procedures.
• Assist in the handling of both non-contrast and contrast-enhanced studies.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and proper sterilization techniques during imaging procedures.
• Demonstrate proficiency in operating CT systems and processing imaging results.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with the medical team to provide quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in CT.
• Valid state licensure as a radiologic technologist.
• Experience with Philips CT equipment.
• Experience with Cerner electronic medical record systems.
• Willingness to float between multiple locations as needed.
