Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Job Summary

We are seeking dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our compassionate team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to residents in a long-term care setting, delivering high-quality patient care while adhering to established protocols and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily activities including bathing, grooming, dressing, and eating.
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ health and well-being to nursing staff.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents and staff.
• Support residents in their daily exercise and health programs.
• Document care provided in the electronic charting system as required.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.

Qualifications

• Current certification as a Nurse Assistant in the state of practice.
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is preferred but not required.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A commitment to providing high-quality care to residents.

Work Schedule

• Available shifts include 12-hour day and night shifts, with varying hours each week.
• Rotating schedule from Sunday to Saturday with opportunities for overtime.
• A 30-minute unpaid lunch break, subject to approval from the charge nurse.

Environment

The facility has an average census of 60 residents, with a staffing ratio of 1 CNA to 10 residents during both day and night shifts. Charting is performed using the AHT system. A small Yorkie dog resides in the facility, contributing to a warm and welcoming environment.

Orientation

New hires will undergo a comprehensive orientation, including necessary paperwork and a shadowing period of up to three days to ensure a smooth transition into the role.

Please note that public transportation is available but may not be reliable; a personal vehicle is recommended for travel to and from the facility.
