Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical Float Pool

Position Overview

The Medical/Surgical Float Pool is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The RN will work in a floating capacity across various medical and surgical units, providing exceptional patient care during night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the medical and surgical units.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor and assess patients’ health status, vital signs, and responses to treatment.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to create and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health management and treatment plans.
• Utilize electronic health record systems (EPIC) for documentation and patient tracking.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records system is required.
• Floating experience is an asset.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Additional Information

This position is for a full-time night shift role with a commitment of 36 hours per week. The duration of the contract is for 13 weeks. The role currently offers a stipend for local housing and may provide incentives for eligible out-of-area candidates.
