Travel Med Surg Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

This position is for a Travel Med Surg Registered Nurse (RN) with a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. The role requires a dedicated professional ready to work the night shift, ensuring optimal patient outcomes in a medical-surgical setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical unit.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to safety and quality standards.
• Monitor patient conditions, recording vital signs and any changes in health status.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on health management and care procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with facility protocols.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS, NIHSS, and ACLS certifications required.
• Preferred experience with Cerner or similar electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Must have a permanent address located 50+ miles from the facility.
• Willingness to float to other departments as needed.
• A minimum of one year of experience in a similar role is required.

Work Schedule

This position offers a guaranteed 48-hour work week, with shifts scheduled from 7 PM to 7 AM. Overtime will be paid for hours exceeded beyond the guaranteed hours.

Additional Information

The facility has a streamlined requirement checklist to facilitate prompt onboarding. Clinicians with pending state licenses will be considered, provided that necessary credentials are obtained prior to starting employment.
