Orthopedic Registered Nurse (RN)

Unit Description

This role involves providing care in a 26-bed orthopedic, spine, and surgical unit, primarily focusing on the management of post-operative patients. The environment supports collaborative nursing practice, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivery of comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries and traumatic fractures.
• Monitoring and assessing patient conditions, and implementing appropriate nursing interventions.
• Assisting with patient education regarding post-operative care and recovery processes.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Documenting patient progress and interventions in accordance with established protocols.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Experience in Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, and Orthopedic/Spine nursing preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
