Med/Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

About the Position

A virtual interview is required for all candidates. The Nursing Director will contact candidates within 24–48 hours of receiving their profiles to schedule the interview.

Shift Details

• Options: 3×12 or 4×12 shifts
• Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Patient Ratios: 1:6 – 1:7
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Floating Requirements

Candidates will be required to float within scope to meet facility needs and may float between like units or sister facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required
• Travel Experience: First-timers will not be accepted; travel experience is necessary
• License: A South Carolina license or a compact license must be held prior to the start date
• Certifications: Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications are required
• Special Requirements: Med/Surg experience is mandatory
• Preferred Experience: Background in Telemetry, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias is preferred

Additional Requirements

All assigned modules must be completed prior to the start date. Access to these modules will be available by the Wednesday before the start date. Attendance at staff meetings is mandatory.

Miscellaneous Information

• Block Schedule: Approval for a block schedule can be requested prior to assignment but is not guaranteed.
• Local Radius: Candidates residing within a 60-mile radius will be considered.
• Local Candidates: Accepted at 10% less than the posted rate.
• RTO Restrictions: All RTO must be included at the time of submission; approval will depend on facility needs.
• Guaranteed Hours: The facility is allowed to call off one shift per every two weeks.
• Call Out Policy: After two call outs (per contract) without a documented medical reason, the contract may be considered for cancellation.
