Medical Surgical/Tele Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced Medical Surgical/Tele Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position involves providing high-quality care to patients in a Med Surg unit with telemetry capabilities. The ideal candidate must be proficient in neuro and cardiac nursing skills.

Job Details

• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week with the possibility of cancellations
• Unit Size: 24 beds, primarily focused on Medical Surgical care with Telemetry capability
• Patient Demographics: Primarily adult patients, with pediatric cases handled by permanent staff only
• Nurse to Patient Ratios: 1:5 days; 1:6 nights; 1:4 for pediatrics based on acuity levels

Support Staff

• Telemetry technicians
• Charge nurse
• Health Unit Coordinators (HUCs)
• Patient Care Technicians (PCTs)

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
• Required Certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• PALS certification is preferred

Additional Information

• The unit may require floating to other Medical Surgical units and the ICU as necessary.
• Respiratory therapists and pharmacy services are available 24/7.
• No IV team is available on the unit.
• Scrub colors are flexible; however, all-black scrubs are not permitted. Scrubs are not provided.
