ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position involves providing high-quality care to critically ill patients and supporting their families through challenging times.

Job Details

• Start Date: ASAP
• Orientation Schedule: Every Monday
• Shift: 12-hour Night shifts from 1800 to 0630
• Scheduling: Modified self-scheduling with options for block scheduling
• Weekend Requirement: Minimum of 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Floating Requirement: May float to Emergency Department or Medical Surgical Unit if experienced

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to patients with various conditions, including left heart catheterizations, coronary interventions, STEMIs, and more.
• Utilize basic ICU equipment effectively while managing cases such as pneumonia, ventilation support, post-cardiac catheterization, and sepsis.
• Administer common drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Levophed, and others as needed.
• Collaborate with respiratory therapists, patient care technicians, and health unit secretaries to ensure optimal patient care.
• Participate in patient monitoring and assessment, including management of ventilators and administration of emergency protocols.

Qualifications

• 2 years of ICU experience required.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
• Experience with basic ICU equipment and patient management.
• Ability to handle critical situations and provide effective nursing interventions.
• Capable of working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Additional Information

• Nurse manager may provide patient care as needed.
• House Supervisor (ASC) is on site 24/7 to support staff and patient needs.
• Flexible scrub color requirements.
