Radiation Therapist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Radiation Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in delivering radiation treatment, alongside a strong understanding of radiation safety measures. This role involves collaborating closely with the oncology team to provide exceptional patient care.

Position Information

• Department: Radiation Oncology
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 40
• Call Requirements: None

Qualifications

• Required Certifications: RT(T) or R.T.(R)(T)
• Years of Experience: 3-5 years minimum
• Required Education: Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Registered with: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy
• Current BLS certification: Required

Unit Information

• Patient Ratios: Typically treat 12-18 patients per day; 0-3 CT simulations per day
• Equipment Used: Elekta Infinity LINAC, GE CT, EHR: Mosaiq, Cerner

Skills and Experience

• Experience with Elekta LINAC systems and Mosaiq software is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate well with patients and colleagues.
• Strong understanding of common diagnoses and treatments, including SBRT, IMRT, SRS, CT simulation, and setup.

Working Hours

• Shift: 08:00 to 16:30
• Weekend Hours: None specified
