Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a 26-bed Acute Care Unit that caters to a diverse patient population, primarily comprised of General Surgery and Trauma patients. The unit is designed to accommodate a high volume of post-surgical patients, making up approximately 90% of admissions, while the remaining 10% have various medical diagnoses. Each room is fully equipped with cardiac monitoring, capnography or end-tidal CO2 monitoring, and continuous pulse oximetry capabilities.

Position Details

• Shift: Day 3×12 Hours (07:00 – 19:00)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Weekend & Holiday Requirements: Every other weekend and holiday required; must work 2 out of the 3 winter holidays.
• Time Off Approval: Up to 40 hours for time off may be approved.

Qualifications

• BLS and ACLS certifications are preferred but not required.
• Candidates must adhere to the floating policy of the unit.
• Epic experience is required.
• Active Virginia nursing license is preferred; candidates with a pending license may also be considered.
