Radiation Oncology Technologist

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Oncology Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiation therapy and experience with specialized equipment.

General Certification Requirements

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Degree in Radiation Oncology
• Wyoming State License and National License required

Department Details

• Equipment: 2 Vital Beam and True Beam machines
• Common Imaging Studies: Breast, lung, prostate, head and neck, esophageal
• Stereotactic Procedures: SBRT (Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy) and SRS (Stereotactic Radiosurgery)
• Average Scans/Studies per Day: 25-30
• Department Software: Mosaiq charting system

Job Responsibilities

The Radiation Oncology Technologist will be responsible for performing radiation therapy procedures and ensuring high-quality patient care. The job duties include:

• Operating radiotherapy machines and equipment
• Administering radiation treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
• Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care

Experience and Skills

• Experience with True Beam and Vital Beam machines
• Mosaic experience is highly recommended
• Ability to work effectively in a small, close-knit team environment

Orientation and Scheduling

• Department-specific orientation will last for one week, ensuring all team members are familiar with imaging and physician requirements
• Shifts: Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• No weekend or holiday requirements
• No call or standby responsibilities
