Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers coordinated nursing care for assigned patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. This role involves supervising and directing nursing staff activities, coordinating care with other disciplines, and applying critical thinking and professional judgment.

Essential Functions

• Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation.
• Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues.
• Develops a comprehensive plan that prescribes interventions to achieve desired outcomes.
• Implements the care plan, coordinates care delivery, and utilizes strategies to promote health and safety.
• Evaluates progress toward achieving outcomes.
• Identifies patient outcomes and collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure safe and compassionate care.
• Provides educational resources and support to patients and families.
• Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
• Delegates tasks appropriately and coordinates the responsibilities of healthcare team members.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Experience: At least two years of recent experience in an acute care facility preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required.
  • AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification required.
