Job Description
Registered Nurse (RN)
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to deliver coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. This role involves supervising and directing the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff and coordinating care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment.
Job Summary
- Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation.
- Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues.
- Develops and implements care plans with prescribed interventions to achieve desired outcomes.
- Coordinates care delivery and promotes health in a safe environment.
- Evaluates patient progress toward care outcomes.
- Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Provides education and learning opportunities for patients and their family members.
- Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
- Delegates appropriately and coordinates the duties of healthcare team members.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Acute care facility experience preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor: Required.
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification: Required.
Organizational Requirements
Commitment to safety and wellbeing of associates and patients is essential. All associates must receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions considered.
Experience in electronic health record systems, particularly EPIC, is preferred for this role.
