Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dynamic 21-bed Renal Medical-Surgical unit specializing in the care of patients with acute and chronic kidney disease, as well as complex medical-surgical conditions. This high-acuity unit provides care for a diverse patient population necessitating continuous monitoring, frequent assessments, and teamwork with multidisciplinary professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult renal and medical-surgical patients
• Manage patients experiencing acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, and post-dialysis needs
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry
• Collaborate with nephrologists and interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Float as needed within scope to similar medical-surgical units, including Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED boarders

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Ohio (required at submission)
• Current BLS certification
• A minimum of 3 years of recent Med-Surg and Telemetry experience (renal experience strongly preferred)
• Proven ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips
• Epic EMR proficiency (mandatory, no training provided)
