Medical-Surgical Orthopedic Nurse

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical-Surgical Orthopedic Nurse to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to orthopedic patients, working in a fast-paced environment. This position is part of a day shift schedule that includes weekends and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate nursing care to medical and surgical orthopedic patients.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Educate patients and their families about post-operative care and rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of nursing experience in a medical-surgical or orthopedic setting.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.

Schedule

The position requires availability for day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM on weekends and holidays.
