Medical/Surgical Telemetry Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical/Surgical Telemetry Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing care to a diverse patient population, primarily consisting of elderly patients with various conditions.

Unit Details

This Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit operates under a team-based Care Delivery Model, utilizing teams of 1 RN, 1 LPN, and 1 PCT for patient care. Nurses will also work with “modified teams” when needed. The unit typically handles conditions related to respiratory, cardiac, and gastrointestinal systems, as well as neurological issues, with the potential for orthopedic patients as overflow.

Shift Requirements

• Staffing Ratio: 1 RN to 9 patients
• Float Required: Yes, to other medical/surgical units
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend or 4 weekend shifts per month
• Accepts first-time travelers

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid nursing license
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required
• Locals not accepted; candidates must reside more than 75 miles away

Scrubs will be navy blue and white, in any combination of these colors.
