PCU/Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled PCU/Stepdown Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. This position requires expertise in managing cardiac drips, with the ability to titrate and maintain patient stability. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate exceptional clinical judgment and decision-making skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a progressive care unit.
• Administer and manage cardiac medications and drips, ensuring proper titration.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond appropriately to any changes in condition.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions and treatment plans.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record system (Epic).

Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience in a PCU/Stepdown unit is required.
• Demonstrated expertise in cardiac drip management and titration is a hard stop requirement.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently within a team-oriented environment.

Schedule

This position requires a commitment to night shifts, working three 12-hour shifts per week.

Holiday Requirements

Candidates may select one holiday (Thanksgiving or Christmas) to observe but are not permitted to take both.
