Registered Nurse (RN) – PCU/Stepdown

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in PCU/Stepdown to join our team. This role is critical in providing high-quality care to patients who require advanced monitoring and treatment following critical illness or surgery, particularly those with cardiac conditions.

Shift Details

• Night Shift: 3 x 12-Hour (19:00 – 07:00)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and titrate cardiac drips in accordance with established protocols.
• Provide comprehensive patient assessments, monitoring vital signs and laboratory results.
• Implement nursing interventions and collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the electronic health record system, Epic.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience in PCU/Stepdown nursing, specifically with cardiac care.
• Ability to manage and titrate cardiac drips as a hardstop requirement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Additional Information

Candidates may choose one holiday—either Thanksgiving or Christmas—but cannot have both. This position does not include block scheduling.
