Registered Nurse (RN) – PCU/Stepdown

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and skilled PCU/Stepdown Registered Nurses to join our team. As a vital member of the healthcare team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients requiring stepdown or progressive care services, particularly focusing on those with cardiac conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer medications and perform IV therapies, including cardiac drips, with a focus on titration and management.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, identifying any changes in status and responding appropriately.
• Collaborate closely with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatment plans, and recovery.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Epic charting system.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in the state of employment.
• Experience in a PCU or Stepdown unit is required, with specific expertise in managing and titrating cardiac drips as a hardstop requirement.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are preferred.

Shift Availability

This position is for a Day shift, working 3×12 hours (07:00 – 19:00).

Holiday Coverage

Candidates may choose to work one holiday, either Thanksgiving or Christmas, but are not expected to cover both.
