ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated ICU Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking skills and be passionate about providing high-quality patient care in a supportive environment.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: Currently 5, with plans to expand to 10 beds.
• Patient Ratios: 2-3:1
• Common Equipment: Ventilators, BiPAPs, IV drips, glucometers, etc.
• Electronic Health Records: Medhost
• Patient Population: Adults and Geriatric; Pediatric patients are not included.

Shift Information

This position requires flexibility in scheduling, and candidates should expect to work weekend hours as needed. Weekly guaranteed hours are set at 36.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the ICU setting.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and health management.

Qualifications

• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in critical care nursing.
• Skills: Strong critical thinking skills and a collaborative attitude.
• Preferred Experience: Previous experience in an ICU setting.
• Education: Must possess the necessary certifications and licensure required to practice as an RN.

Dress Code

Scrubs of any color are acceptable. Casual attire is not permitted.

Additional Requirements

• All clinical staff must be checked against the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment.
