Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a 13-week assignment. This position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact by providing quality care to patients in a medical-surgical unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, assessing patient needs and implementing appropriate nursing interventions.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and revise patient care plans.
• Perform nursing procedures and administer medications as prescribed.
• Monitor patient progress and report any changes in condition to the medical team.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and health management strategies.

Work Schedule

This position requires day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The facility can accommodate scheduling requests for up to 48 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (pending submissions are accepted).
• Experience with Cerner electronic medical records.
• Permanent address must be located more than 50 miles from the facility.
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience preferred.

Additional Information

Applicants may be required to float to other units based on facility needs. The role may involve working in a setting with multiple beds, handling various patient cases on a medical-surgical floor.
