Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

A dedicated Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse is needed for a temporary position that involves working nights. Candidates must be flexible and willing to commit to weekend requirements and floating as necessary.

Work Schedule

• Shift: 3×12 Nights (18:00 – 06:30)
• Weekend Requirement: Minimum of 3 weekends within each 6-week period
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Call-In Expectation: Travelers must pick up another shift to compensate for any call-ins.
• RTO Limitations: No more than 5 days of RTO; no RTO allowed during Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s holidays.

Floating and Call Requirements

There may be occasions when the nurse is floated to different units based on the needs of the department. On-call duties may also be part of the role.

Patient Ratios

The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing experience required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Certifications required:
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • PALS (mandatory for this position due to pediatric admissions)
  • NIHSS
• Tele experience is required
• Ambulatory and Medical-Surgical experience preferred

• Local candidates (living within a 50-mile radius) will receive a rate differential.
