Labor and Delivery Nurse

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery. This role involves working within an exciting and challenging environment, focusing on providing high-quality care to patients during labor, delivery, and recovery.

Shift Information

This position is for a night shift, consisting of four 12-hour shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:00. The role offers block scheduling to enhance work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to patients throughout the labor and delivery process.
• Monitor the health status of patients and their newborns, responding to any changes in condition.
• Utilize appropriate interventions based on patient assessments and develop care plans accordingly.
• Educate patients and families on childbirth, neonatal care, and available resources.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including obstetricians, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals.
• Document patient care accurately and timely in accordance with established protocols.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain professional competence in Labor and Delivery nursing.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Experience in Labor and Delivery nursing preferred but not required.
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Basic life support (BLS) certification is required; additional certifications in advanced life support may be preferred.

Additional Information
