ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to patients in an intensive care unit setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered, evidence-based care to critically ill patients.
• Monitor and manage patients’ conditions, responding to changes in status.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document patient care and ensure compliance with protocols and regulations.
• Assist in the training and orientation of new staff and nursing students.

Qualifications

• Active New York State nursing license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU setting.
• Charge nurse experience is highly preferred.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
• Ability to float between departments as needed.
• Available to work every other weekend.
• Local candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius.
• First-time travelers may be considered.

Work Environment

The position requires a commitment to teamwork and excellence in patient care within a fast-paced ICU environment. The nurse will be expected to handle a patient-to-nurse ratio of 2-3.
