Registered Nurse (RN) – Acute Care Float Pool

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Acute Care Float Pool. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care across multiple units, encompassing medical, surgical, medical telemetry, surgical telemetry, infusion, orthopedic, and neurosurgery patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care with an emphasis on safety and quality.
• Monitor and assess patient health, making necessary adjustments to care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans and care procedures.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in acute care settings.
• BLS certification required; CPI certification preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to float within the hospital as needed.

Work Schedule and Requirements

• Shifts: Day (3×12 hours) – 07:00 to 19:30; Night (3×12 hours) – 19:00 to 07:30.
• Weekend work required: Every other weekend.
• RTO Restrictions: Maximum of 1 week.
• Locals accepted; no pending licenses.

Additional Information

• Unit Ratio: 1:5 patient-to-nurse ratio.
• Charting system used: EPIC.
• Monthly parking cost: $85.15.
