Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

This position is for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) in an Acute Care Float role. The RN will be assigned to various units based on the daily staffing needs as determined by the nursing supervisor.

Shift Details

• Shift Hours: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (30-minute lunch) for a 12-hour shift
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Patient Ratios

Typically, the nurse-to-patient ratio varies according to need, generally maintaining a ratio of 1:6.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a comparable acuity hospital setting.
• Active, unencumbered Tennessee (TN) or multi-state RN license required.
• BLS certification is mandatory.
• Cerner EMR experience is required.
• First-time travelers will be considered.

The RN will float to the following units:

• 12E – Medical Comfort Care
• 11E – Surgery and GI
• 10E – Trauma
• 8E – Medical
• 7S – Observation
• 5E – Medical
• 5W – Oncology
• 4S – Medical Nephrology
• 9E – Orthopedics
• 7E – Joint Replacement/Orthopedics
• 6S & 6E – Neurology
• 9H – Vascular
• 8H – Pulmonary
• 7H – Cardiac Surgery
• 4H – Cardiac

Compliance Details

Scrubs required for this position are Royal Blue.
