Registered Nurse (RN) – Neonatal ICU

Position Information

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position is critical in providing specialized care for our youngest patients and their families.

• Shift: Nights, 3×12, 1900-0700
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Weekend Hours: As required by facility, typically every other weekend
• Call Requirements: No call required

Licensure and Certifications

• Required Licensure: Current RN License in Missouri or meets eligibility for licensure in Missouri
• Required Certifications: BLS, NRP
• Preferred Certifications: TNCC, PALS

Experience Requirements

• Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years of NICU experience; vent competent
• Float Requirements: Must be willing to work in NICU, PICU, or Postpartum as determined by patient volumes

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 46
• Patient Ratios: Not guaranteed; typically 1:3, determined by acuity
• EMR: EPIC

Patient Care Responsibilities

The RN will perform direct patient care activities for all neonatal patients, including:

• Assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans
• Monitoring and coordinating patient care activities with ancillary departments to ensure optimal patient comfort and outcomes
• Adhering to established nursing guidelines and the Missouri Nurse Practice Act
• Embodying the mission and values of the organization
