Neonatal ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced Neonatal ICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care for infants requiring specialized medical attention. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of neonatal nursing practices and guidelines.

• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Weekend Hours: As required, every other weekend
• Call Requirements: No call required

Qualifications

• Required Licensure: Current RN License (eligible or licensed in the state)
• Required Certifications: BLS, NRP
• Preferred Certifications: TNCC, PALS
• Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a Neonatal ICU setting, with proficiency in ventilator management
• Float Requirements: May be required to work in NICU, PICU, or Postpartum based on patient volumes

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 46
• Patient Ratios: NICU 1:3, determined by acuity
• Equipment: No specific equipment
• EMR: EPIC

Responsibilities

The Neonatal ICU Registered Nurse will perform direct patient care activities for neonates, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsibilities include monitoring patient care activities and coordinating with ancillary departments to enhance patient comfort and outcomes. The nurse will operate within the scope of nursing practice established by applicable laws and guidelines.
