Emergency Room Nurse

We are currently seeking qualified Emergency Room Nurses to join our team. This role requires a dynamic individual who is prepared to work in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Contract Length: 48 hour contracts preferred; 13 week contracts also available
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15
• Call Requirement: No call duty required
• Float Requirement: No floating between units
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend is mandatory

Patient Care Ratios:

• Non-Critical Patients: 3:1 (4:1 during callouts)
• Critical Patients: 2:1
• Medical Boarders in ED: 5:1

Required Skills and Certifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department
• IV Start, Triage, Telemetry, and Conscious Sedation skills
• Certifications: TNCC, ACLS, NIH, MOAB, and BLS required
• ENPC certification is preferred
• Trauma experience is a plus

Patient Diagnoses:

Care for adult patients presenting with conditions such as STEMI, stroke, and Level 2 trauma. The unit handles approximately 170 visits per day across 53 rooms/beds.

Unit Systems:

• PYXIS
• EPIC
• SBAR

Orientation:

New hires will undergo a 36 or 48-hour orientation to ensure familiarity with unit protocols and procedures.

Scrubs:

Navy blue scrubs are required for this position.
